Pulaski

We saw a sign pointing to "Pulaski" today. We wondered if we shouldn't have taken that last left turn. There is a town called "Pulaski" in Northern New York.
Obviously, there is also one in Tennessee.
Must be the town fathers all wanted to honor the General who fought in the Revolutionary War. He was from Poland, and had fought for his country's freedom, then was invited by Benjamin Franklin to come to the United States and help us. He rose quickly in the ranks, and was named a general and was called the Father of the US cavalry. Unfortunately, he was killed at the age of 34.
Oh, by the way, there is also a firefighting tool called a pulaski. It is unlikely that this was the reason for these towns' name.
