Leaves

Every autumn the homeowner in the great Northeast is faced with the same situation. What to do with the piles of tree-refuse. It's such a dilemma.
Should they be bagged and discarded at the curb? Placed in the compost pile?
Encouraged to drift over to the neighbor's yard?

While at the grand-children's home, I helped them learn an old country game.
Raking leaves in a pile and jumping in them.
I know, this sounds pretty elementary. It's not rocket science, or they probably would have known it.

We made a pile.
I said, "OK. Jump in it."
They jumped in feet-first.
How much fun is that?

So, then I illustrated the "nose-dive" jump and threw leaves around me for fun.
