"Bathroom Bill"

No, that's not someone I met in Walmart or Home Depot.
It's something state legislatures apparently feel the need to legislate.
Our NYS Assembly has already passed such a thing; the Senate is still deliberating. At least, that's the latest word I have.

Why would people think they have to protect "gender identity or expression"?
If a crime is committed against someone, it's a crime.
Why does it need the appellation of "hate crime"?
A crime is a crime is a crime.

Anyway, by protecting a transgendered person's "right" to use a restroom or locker room set aside for the opposite gender, we could cause young and impressionable persons to be possibly traumatized.
If a young female child went into a women's restroom and a man followed her into the facilities, her father could not prevent the man from entering the bathroom. If the father tried to stop the other male (who is self-identifying as a female) from using the women's restroom, the father could be charged with a hate crime--a felony offense.
